Is SOTY-2 Karan Johar's Version of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar?

A New Dharma Movie on the Block.

Rohan (Tiger Shroff) gets into the esteemed St. Treasa's as an underdog from the slums maybe on a kabaddi scholarship or as previous winner of the Dignity Cup. Mia (Tara Sutaria) is sweet and ambitious student who expect to ace her future with the upcoming dance competition. Shreya (Ananya Pandey) on the other hand is a college brat who think low of anyone but her.

Rohan, with his good looks & moves wins over the college and gets in a tough spot with Manav(Aditya Seal), the College Stud who feels his reputation is at stake. Rohan and Mia becomes college sweethearts but this interrupted when Rohan gets rusticated from college for a reason which could be anything. A scarred Rohan joins Pishorilal Chamandas College and return to St.T's to win the Dignity Cup as a pay back to Manav & the college that threw him out.

There are a lot of guest appearance's in the movie namely, the previous students Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan & Siddharth Malhotra, Principal, Rishi Kapoor and last but not the least, Will Smith all the way from hollywood dancing to the tunes of the disco version of the Radha song from the Original Franchise.

With the story line such as the same, we wonder if the movie a Karan Johar version of the 1992 Aamir Khan starer movie, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

The first half of the movie till Rohan' rustication is a direct influence from SOTY 1 and the second half which showcases the run for the Dignity Cup is inspired from Jo Jeeta Wohi SIkander except for the reason where here Rohan tries to win the Dignity cup for himself where as in JJWS, Sanju does it for his elder brother.

Though, we would like to know if it is Mia or Shreya who Rohan chooses at the end if the movie as, the trailer suggests it is his call to make.

The movie is a big college party through out where the all the actors look at best, even the pink bicycle that Tiger rides.

The movie could be a one timer for all Tiger & Dharma fans, else i would recommend the first day review before you book the tickets.

See you at the Movies!!
